Senate District 16!  This year, the Republican Party of Texas is pleased to announce some very exciting speakers who will be joining us at our State Convention. We have two special guests keynoting our premier Convention Gala, Senator Ron Johnson of WI and Rick Santorum. The Gala will be held on Friday, June 8th at the Fort Worth Convention Center Ballroom. Congressman Paul Ryan (WI-1) is our keynote speaker who will address the convention delegates, alternates, guests and sponsors on Saturday, June 9th. Speaking at one of our new Breakout Sessions, is Texas Congressman Ron Paul, leading a session entitled “Uniting Republicans and Balancing the Federal Budget.” The RPT thanks all of our speakers for making the effort to travel to Fort Worth, Texas and participate in our 2012 State Convention.

Attached is the list of the 2012 SD 16 State Convention Delegates/Alternate Delegates submitted to RPT.  This list contains ONLY NAMES.

If you would like more than delegate/alternate delegate names, please contact Beth Cubriel, Organizational Director for the RPT.  There is an agreement to be signed by all seeking additional information (due to the delegate/alternate delegate list containing private information for the original intent of governmental use) along with a small fee.  Beth’s email is bcubriel@texasgop.org.   RPT phone is 512-477-9821.

JUST IN….the RPT will be adding MORE CONTRACTED HOTELS to the www.texasgop.org website TODAY!  The first will  be this morning….The Marriott Blackstone Hotel.  Please also DON’T FORGET TO REGISTER for the Convention.  You may want to check the hotels I listed earlier today (see below post) to see if they have a contracted REPUBLICAN PARTY OF TEXAS rate. These may be hotels added to the www.texasgop.org website throughout the day….be the first to jump.

State Convention Registration & Hotels Coming Tuesday

THANK YOU to the many thousands of Republicans who participated in the County & District Conventions on Saturday, April 14 and Saturday, April 21. We greatly appreciate the time and effort of so many of you, and especially the hard work of so many volunteers and county leaders to coordinate the logistics of these events.

The State Party is finalizing the launch of the State Convention Registration website and will be going live with the revamped site on Tuesday, April 24th. At that time, you will be able to REGISTER for the State Convention and also obtain HOTEL INFORMATION to make your reservations.

The convention website address will remain -http://convention.texasgop.org - and will feature a link for the online registration process, hotel information, a tentative list of events and activities, and an FAQ site to answer questions about the convention process for first-time attendees.

To be among the first to receive the announcement, please make sure that you are signed up for RPT emails by sending your contact via information on the Email Signup link on TexasGOP.org.
